The Moliere players are in their dressing room, getting ready to go on set. One actor mentions to another that his face reminds him of an opportunist turncoat he knew when he was in the Resistance. He then relates the adventure that he had in the Resistance, running an illegal radio station and dodging the Nazis.。1995年，反恐特别行动组特维斯中校带队执行一次解救行动，不料却以失败告终……三个月后，军情局顾问戴维接到消息：恐怖组织头目阿布亚法被捕并将被引渡到美国。10天后，一架由雅典飞往华盛顿的747客机被阿布亚法的副手安塔尔劫持，后者要求美国政府释放阿布亚法。戴维受命解决危机，他指出恐怖分子的本意是利用毒气炸弹攻击美国本土，所以坚决不能使飞机入境。同时参会的特维斯提出了大胆的计划：他要率领反恐特别行动组通过空中对接的方式登上被劫持的747客机……。本片改编自真实事迹：当盟军在1945年春天反攻德国时，纳粹决定炸毁莱茵河上最后一座大桥，甚至不惜让自己的士兵失去退路。而盟军则需要这座桥来进攻德国腹地，围绕一座铁桥的激烈攻防战就此展开。。
