狠辣女督察毛收得线报，欲拘捕进行贼赃交易的匪帮，却碰上匪帮内哄，贼赃更被大陆音乐家刘青云拾去。刘因利家当头，故知法犯法，收起赃物。黑白两道皆追查赃物下落，毛先找到刘，但刘扮失忆，毛遂把刘藏于家中，加以保护及医治。刘毛共处，初不咬铉，但因几次共渡意外后，误解渐释。后毛保护刘以至昏迷不醒，刘以音乐令毛苏醒，俩人关系更进一步，刘便交出赃物，让毛破案，匪帮杀手也在刘的演奏会上被捕。毛刘二人感情日渐增进，开始一段浪漫的爱情故事……。The film opens with a narrated disclaimer over footage of an opening coffin.
