大岩壁攀登，是攀岩运动中极具挑战性，危险系数极高的项目。两个国内顶尖攀岩高手和他们的团队决定在广西乐业天坑挑战大岩壁攀登。作为首支尝试这个线路的队伍，他们的本次挑战从开线到攀登完成前后经历了半个月，其间，有被迫改线、岩壁吊床过夜、队员退出等各种意外。。正在监狱中服刑的爆炸专家洛高接受了恐怖集团一项五百万美元酬劳的任务：用薄如纸片的新式炸弹在美国制造恐慌。另一边，白头神探弗兰克（莱斯利•尼尔森 Leslie Nielsen 饰）光荣退休，那些惊心动魄的战斗似乎瞬间就成为了往事，警方获悉恐怖爆炸计划后邀请弗兰克再次出山，令其进入医院卧底，以接近洛高的情人谭雅。妻子珍（普瑞希拉•普雷斯利 Priscilla Presley 饰）对于孩子的渴望愈发强烈，但再次为公众安全疲于奔命的弗兰克毫无亲昵的多余体力，伤心的珍离家出走。弗兰克二次卧底进入监狱，打入洛高一伙并与他成功越狱，自此留在洛高身边监视，此时珍找到弗兰克，卷入了卧底行动。洛高计划在奥斯卡颁奖典礼上安放炸弹，而能挽救奥斯卡的，只有弗兰克……。Two years have passed since we left Daniele and the ship of madmen.
