He wants to make a film about women but he doesn’t reveal much: he observes them, takes cue, until his imaginary throw them into another era, in a past where the noise of the sewing machines fills a workplace handled and populated by women, where men have minor and marginal roles and cinema...。灵感来源于导演亲身经历的真实事件，讲述了一位痴迷浪漫的电影制作人戴维的故事。他策划了一次沿着66号公路的旅行，并计划在拉斯维加斯停留，但在众人面前求婚时却被他15年的伴侣拒绝。 执意要结婚的他只有10天时间去找到结婚对象。。六十四岁的老导演林念经被妻子陈惊质疑不懂爱情，赌气之下决定拍摄一部爱情片。他拉上自己合作多年的老编剧杜笃施一同上路采风，两位老人从香港回到广州，途中引发了许多啼笑皆非的事情。这段看似寻找爱情片灵感的旅程，实是由林念经的记忆碎片组成；当记忆逐渐拼凑完整，陈惊的样子也在二人面前逐渐清晰。。
