电影讲述了茅山下桃源镇的阴守一（刘頔饰），从小崇拜“茅山三子”：玉灵子（张冬饰）、凉虚子（龚小钧饰）、重归子（崔曙光饰）的传奇事迹，渴望成为一名茅山英雄。他瞒着母亲十三娘（周小飞饰）前往茅山参加新“九龙真人”选拔大典，竟意外被燃眉大师（杜玉明饰）选中...。该片是2019年推出的动画《巴加的工作室》的续篇，以KOHATA动画工作室为舞台，讲述在这里制作动画的人们，和类似仓鼠的生物“巴加”之间的日常故事。。Frank Tagliano ('Steven Van Zandt' ), is a former New York mobster, who after testifying in a trial in the United States, Tagliano joins the witness protection program.
