影片根据西城分局西长安街派出所义达里社区民警李国平真实事迹改编而成，将李国平在义达里20年间不断探索创新防范措施、努力化解居民矛盾的事迹呈现在大银幕。据导演张晓春介绍，他将以家长里短、柴米油盐、小猫小狗的点滴小事反映社区生活的真实，“能够通过影片反映真实的生活是我们引以为傲的地方，而为了将真实进行到底，剧本里的大部分桥段都源于李国平的真实经历。创作人员用了大量时间了解片警的工作和生活，而最让他们感动的是，片警的工作不仅是要打开每一户居民的门，而是要敲开居民的心，片警要打开每一户居民的门，了解他们的生活，但更难的是要敲开居民的心，这样才可以构建平安和谐的社区。。讲述了年过三十的职业女性梁巧芝，在机缘巧合之下获得超人异能，进而锄强扶弱，并遇上了三个男人，包括英勇干探但极度大男人的杨浩然；本性善良却一夜变成暴发户的徐永晖；还有最后的简明轩，他才华横溢却同时爱上变身前后的巧芝，在这过程中发生的一系列事件。。One day, thinking that it will make your wife and friends smile, you shave off the moustache that you have had for the last ten years.
