2011年にテレビ放送された幾原邦彦監督によるオリジナルアニメ「輪（まわ）るピングドラム」のテレビシリーズ全24話を再構築し、新作パートを追加して前後編で劇場公開する2部作の後編。高倉家の双子の兄弟・冠葉と晶馬が病気の妹・陽毬の命を救うために謎の「ピングドラム」を探す物語を描きつつ、新作パートには子どもの姿の冠葉と晶馬が登場し、プリンセス・オブ・ザ・クリスタルに似た衣装をまとった荻野目桃果や、新キャラクターである謎の赤ちゃんペンギン・プリンチュペンギンと出会う。さらに実写映像などの新たな要素も加わり、テレビシリーズとは異なる視点で物語を描き出す。。罗人友剧中饰演警察一角李奎翰饰演与罗人友对立的最大黑帮反派一角此剧讲述了弟弟被黑帮欺负，哥哥为弟弟孤军奋战报仇的故事。To the outside world looking in, Jack's not well.
