The film takes a tour of the objects as the starting point for a trip through love stories, landscapes and the chemistry of the city.。香港青年成舒海回到大陆老家祖居的村庄写生绘画班邂逅了大陆女子林玄，两人度过了一段甜蜜单纯的短暂时光。但舒海之前已有婚约在身，这场婚姻事关家族生愈的兴衰，舒海必须按约回去完婚。舒海和林玄最终无奈分别，舒海独自回了香港。多年后，舒海去世，留下遗嘱把骨灰送归山村。舒海的侄子和侄女带着舒海骨灰回到山村再次遇见了林玄……。
