《虫师》改编自日本漫画家漆原友纪原作的同名漫画，由动画公司ARTLAND负责制作，于2005年10月22日起在富士电视台播放，全26话。电视动画获得2006年第5回东京动画奖电视优秀作品奖，并获选为2006年第十回日本文部省文化厅媒体艺术祭动画部门推荐作品。这是一部非常特殊的作品，特殊到几十年的动画历史中，找不到任何一部作品与它算同类。它通过在一个和风的世界里，淡淡地述说了幻想的生物“虫”与人的故事，在表现了无以伦比的美的同时，也通过跃然于画面之上的真情打动了无数人。。该剧改编自时镜的同名小说，曾经的姜雪宁无依无靠，因要自保、也因贪婪，她不择手段的谋取权势，处心积虑当上了皇后，却因此践踏了无数真心，与青梅竹马的小侯爷反目。后，曾受她救命之恩的当朝帝师谢危竟逼宫谋反，一朝倾覆，皇帝死了，她真正亏欠在意的清正良臣张遮，也因她身陷囹圄……所幸，她有了重获新生的机会。她要坦荡潇洒，再无亏欠。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
