At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and...。早已过了不惑之年的赤羽一兵（上川隆也 饰）是一个穷困潦倒的二流作家，他几乎没有出版过什么畅销作品，只能靠给低俗杂志写一些不入流的故事糊口度日。某天，赤羽收到一封来自监狱的信，而寄信人竟然是当年残忍杀害了四名年轻女性的“连环写真杀手”吴井大悟（武田真治 饰）。吴井风流倜傥，随是死刑犯的身份，却依旧透露着高傲和自信。坐牢期间，曾有数名女性给他写过求爱信，而吴井希望借助赤羽的笔出版一本火露骨惹火的传记。渴望成名的赤羽接下这个委托，并按照吴井提供的资料走访相关人。谁知就在取材的过程中，一起与当年“连环写真杀手”作案手法相同的杀人案再度发生，他被迫卷入了充满血腥和诡异的谜团漩涡之中…… 本片根据美国作家大卫•高登（Dvid Gordon）的同名小说改编。。
