"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。故事讲述刚迈入大学校园的三名游戏宅，通过《荒野乱斗》这款游戏结识，并在毫无默契的痛苦磨合之后，成为莫逆之交的故事。剧情中充斥着无厘头与年轻人的喜剧语言，和青年文化。最终收获友情的桥段，也纪念了男生最留恋的大学生活。。
