20世纪70年代，在祖国的海防边疆，由数十个大小不一岛屿组成的军事基地上，战场老将石光荣的长子石林（赵毅 饰）以炮兵的身份在此驻防。偶然机缘，他认识了被下放到这里的走资派儿子左太行（史林 饰）以及在卫生队当护士的文工团舞蹈演员林东东（韩雯雯 饰）。在命运的安排下，三个有着不同背景的年轻人以及林东东的室友蒋抗美（袁志博 饰）被安排进宣传队。近距离的相处，让年轻人心中本来存有的芥蒂慢慢消失，他们开始学会彼此欣赏、爱慕，挖掘对方身上闪光而崇高的一面。 青年男女们纯真质朴的感情彼此交错，在战争革命的岁月里，共同谱写出一曲红色的青春恋歌……。Thomas and Thomas are going through a rough patch: they are both thirty-something actors living in Paris. They randomly decide to leave the city and fly away to Kullorsuaq, one of the most remote villages of Greenland, where Thomas' father Nathan lives.
